Note that you can't disable sub-tasks if one or more sub-tasks have already been created in one of your Jira applications. Thanks. The option to convert the item to sub-defect by clicking on the work item icon does not give me Sub-defect as an available option for selection. It seems to be the most intuitive option. But I could do it by clicking on the three dots on the right upper corner of the defect, select Convert to Sub-Task option, and then change it to Sub

You can, however, convert a basic task into a Jira issue and thereby make them visible in your Jira project as well. Right-click on a basic task to convert it to a Jira issue. You follow the same method when you want to convert a Jira issue into a milestone. Basic tasks have many use cases.

A user has created an issue as a bug and wants to change it to a task instead. I was going to display all issues, go to bulk changes, select the one issue then change it to bug. However, when I display all issues, the bug does not show up in the list. I tried entering the following in the search however nothing displays.
